KeLAC’s dance programs celebrate the diversity of African and global dance traditions, creating an environment where learners can explore movement, culture, and artistry. Designed for beginners to advanced dancers, our classes offer both technical skill development and cultural enrichment.
Our Dance Programs Include:
Kenyan Traditional Dances
Classes featuring iconic local dance forms such as the Maasai Adumu (jumping dance), Kikuyu Mugithi, and Luhya Isukuti. Students learn choreography, rhythm, and the cultural significance behind each tradition.
African Diaspora Dance
Training in dance styles with African roots— including Brazilian samba, Cuban rumba, and hip-hop—showing how African movement has shaped global dance culture.
International Dance Styles
Exposure to world dance forms such as flamenco, salsa, and traditional Chinese fan dancing, expanding students’ global dance vocabulary and artistic versatility.
Performance & Choreography
